He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob J. Kuss, Jr. and Jeanice Kuss (Jackstadt); his wife Joanne Kuss; and his siblings, Patricia Ellis, Jeanice Tedesco and Jacob J. Kuss III.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Schug (Thaddeus) of North Carolina, Michelle Kuss-Cybula (Dan Cybula) of Washington, Mark Kuss (Mindy) of New York and Meagan Jackson (Timothy) of New York; his grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Hayden, Wyatt Schug, Abigail, Isabelle Cybula, Makena Kuss, Adaline, Amelia and Eloise Jackson; and his sisters, Elaine Cunningham and Kathleen Jackstadt. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
