She was predeceased by: her parents, William Herder and Helen "Babe" Herder; her husband Jack; her sister Lynn Herder Walker; and her grandson Johnny Glascott.
She is survived by: her sons, John (Sue) of Briarcliff Manor, NY, Jeff (Linda) of Juno Beach, FL and Jim (Deirdre) of Pound Ridge, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Joan's name to the Briarcliff Congregational Church.
