He is survived by: his parents, Melatur Narasimhan and Sudarshan Narasimhan; his wife Sandhya Narasimhan; his children, Neel and Shreya; his sister Mangala; and his nieces and nephews, Maya, Jai, Pranav and Annika.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, an organization Gopal felt strongly about.
