She was predeceased by: her husband Louis M. Gioia, Sr.; her parents, Nicholas Emerito and Evelyn Skelton (Martin); her siblings, John Emerito, Joseph Emerito, Alfred Emerito, Nicholas Emerito and Inez Rice; her siblings-in-law, Beverly Emerito, Lucy Mannion, Donna Scalzo, Rose Shail, Eleanor Emerito, Jean Emerito, Rocco Gioia, Edward Shail and Jesse Rice; and her nieces and nephews, Joya Covillion, Lisa Shail, Edward Emerito and Matthew Rice.
She is survived by: her children, Louis M. Gioia, Jr. (Peggy Ann) of Sherman, CT, Jody A. Lambrech (Matthew) of Sherman, CT and Jamie N. Gioia (Ellen) of New Milford, CT; her siblings, Margaret Rabone and James Emerito (Eileen) of Newtown, CT; and also, Julie Rider (Lonn) of Foster, RI, Honora Gioia (Ana Guzina) of Saigon, Vietnam, Katherine Gioia of Honolulu, HI, Meghan Lambrech of Sherman, CT and Christina Rossell (Jeff). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
