He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his sister Patricia A. Beneway. He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Hutchings of Dover Plains, Loretta Sosa of Carmel, Judy Roberts of Stony Point, Cathy Meyer of Brewster and Edward C. Nagel II of Ft. He is also survived by eight grandsons, four granddaughters, three great-grandsons and four great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maria Ferrari Children's Hospital, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit ay Valhalla, NY.
