She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl O. Ekstrom and Edna Ekstrom (O'Hara); her sons, Jon Macomber and William A. Macomber Jr.; her son-in-law Timothy Auer; and her sisters, Patricia Doyle, Eloise Reinhardt, Jean Saunders, Joyce and Gloria Ekstrom.
She is survived by: her husband William A. Macomber (Bill); her children, Dawn Macomber of Danbury, CT, Star Auer of Danbury, CT, Carl E. Macomber (Fran) of Brewster, NY and Kyle D. Macomber (Lori) of New Fairfield, CT.; her grandchildren, Douglas Macomber, Candice Boyle, Kelly Scofield, Kristi Upton, Chad Auer, Brittany Macomber, Carl Macomber Jr., Kathryn Herbert and Second Lieutenant Kyle Macomber Jr.; her great grandchildren, Xander, Mackenzie, Elizabeth, Joshua, Mary Kate, Julia, Matthew, Molly, Autumn and Landon; and her brother-in-law Joseph Reinhardt. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
