He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Varik Ashley; his parents, Robert Ashley and Ruth Ashley; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Alice Ashley; his in-laws, Karl and Ina Varik; his brother-in-law Rein Varik (Ilga); his daughter-in-law Kristy Ashley (Karl); and his nephews, Marcus and Robert Varik.

He is survived by: his sons, Richard E. Ashley of East Palatka, FL, Karl E. Ashley of Baldwinsville, NY and David C. Ashley (Kathy) of Brewerton, NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard and Ann's honor to either of the following organizations, Onondaga Yacht Club, P.O.
