He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward J. Skala, Sr. and Elizabeth Skala; his sisters, Linda A. Licata (Joseph) and Laura J. Christensen; his nieces and nephews, Joseph Licata, Jr. (Kelly), Anthony Licata (Ann Marie), Tracy Barbero (Leonard) and Wayne Christensen (Shannon); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley Senn (Nicholas), Rocco Barbero, Nikolas Barbero, Angelina Licata, Antonio Licata, Megan Licata and Thomas Licata.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Albrecht, Bruno & O'shea Funeal Homes, Inc. (62 Carleton Ave, East Islip, NY 11730). A prayer was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the same location.
