He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kevin Whalen, Sheila Wahlers and Sharon Leary; and his parents, Michael Whalen and Irene Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Maryann; his daughter Irene; his son-in-law Billy Donnelly of Bellaire; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Tracy Whalen of Breezy Point; his grandchildren, Declan, Eamonn, Siobhan Donnelly, Calleigh, Charlie and Cassidy Whalen; and his sister Sandra Quine. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
