She was predeceased by: her parent William Shanty; her children, Vaughn H. Ashlaw and Phyllis Ashlaw; and her siblings, James Shanty, Fredus Shanty, Robert Shanty, Herbert Shanty and Viola Ballard.
She is survived by: her parent Minnie Gonyea Shanty; her daughters-in-law, Jerry Ashlaw, Tonya Ashlaw of Smyrna, NY., Richard Ashlaw of Altmar, NY., Philip Ashlaw and Jan Ashlaw of Georgetown, NY.; and her stepson Charles A. LaTrace of Brasher Falls, NY.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
