He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Hayes and Nellie Hayes; and his former spouse Theresa'Terri'Ann Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Gordon'Buddy'James Hayes, Jr. and William'Bill'Jay Hayes; his family Warrensburg; his wife Terri; his son Bill (Jo Ann Rooker); his daughter-in-law Kelly Hayes (Bolton); his grandchildren, Sara DeBuque (Adam), Jacey Hayes, Greg Hayes (Missy), Logan Hayes, Leah Hayes and Danielle Schenk; his siblings, Gary Hayes (Gail), Ed Hayes (Sandy) and Susan Wilkes (John); and his daughter-in-law Jo Ann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Horicon Baptist Church (6616 NY-8, Brant Lake, NY 12815).
