She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert W. Kester; and her children, Donald (Mary), Richard (Virginia), William "Bill" (Susan), Larry Kester (Karin), Lynette "Lynn" Fagnan (Jack), Mary Ann Doyle (Jim Occipinto) and Kathy Kester. She was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Boston Volunteer Fire Company or St. John the Baptist RC Church of Boston, New York.
