He is survived by: his mother Marian Leichty Carpenter; his wife Patricia C. Carpenter; his daughter Jill Carpenter (James Ayers); his grandchildren, Jackson, Ella and Meghan; his daughter Marianne (Michael Currier); his grandchildren, Emma and Brady; his son Brian (Kate Carpenter); his grandsons, William and Benjamin; his siblings, John (Janette), Clint (Melissa), Ned (Rebecca), Rosalie White, Susan LaRoy and Jackie Carpenter; and his close friends, Ben and Bev Sweeney. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
