It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard M. Platt of Boonville, New York, born in Rome, New York, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Erwin Mezler; his granddaughter Brittany Platt; and his son-in-law Stephen Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Patricia Seymour of Boonville, NY.; his children, Tammie Jenkins of Boonville, Lonnie Platt of Boonville and Richard (Jacquelyne Reeder) of West Leyden; his grandchildren, Breanna Wright (Joshua), Sierra Platt, Brandon, Brett Platt and Kaylee "The Professor" Halkovitch; and his great grandchildren, Alize, Myah Platt and Mychael "The Boss" Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
