He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph V. Chaufty, Sr. and Barbara B. Chaufty; his brother John M.; and his son Joseph V. Chaufty, III. He is survived by: his siblings, James (Christine) of Port Leyden and Kathleen Weaver (Marvie); his close friend Ruthann Kelly; and also T. J. Kelly.
