He was predeceased by: his father Donald C. Gydesen. He is survived by: his mother Carol Zeigler Gydesen; his son Jacob; his daughter-in-law Erin Gydesen; his daughter Sarah; his son-in-law Chad Sturtevant; his stepson Chris Hill (Beth); his stepfather Butch Johnson; his grandchildren, Olivia, Nolan, Logan, Christina, Nichole, Alexis, Aleigha and Adalyn; his siblings, Lorrie Czeipel (Dan) and Michael; his sister-in-law Debby Gydesen; and his nieces and nephews, Todd Czepiel (Melanie), Brett Czepiel (Ashlynne), Josh, Kaylee Gydesen and Tonia Duncan (Tina Zehr).
