Benjamin C. Platt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Benjamin C. Platt of Boonville, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Platt and Mildred Leffingwell Platt; his siblings, Sonja Letson, Gail Platt, Roberta Parkhurst, Donna Smith and Daryl Platt; and his nieces and nephews, Theresa Smith, Amy Platt, Tim Kurtz, Cy Platt and Kyle Platt.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Weber of Martin's Church; his children, DeyLynne McConnell (Carl) and Jacob Platt (Angie Campeau); his grandchildren, Brad Farr (Kayla Cavanaugh), Brett Farr, Brock Farr, Brant Farr, Brent Farr, BreyLynne Farr (Dan Planck) and Breycee Farr (Garrett Dosztan); his great grandchildren, Ben, Dan Farr and Dawsynne Adele Planck; his siblings, Roger Platt (Boonville), Anna Anderson (Cicero), Frank Platt (West Leyden) of Frank's Auto, Dorothy Roy (Boonville), Zeta Platt (Rome) and Phil Platt (West Leyden); and his brothers-in-law, Kevin Parkhurst (Canastota) and Laverne (Butch). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. (143 Schuyler St, Boonville, NY 13309). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Martin's Church (7108 North St, Port Leyden, NY 13433).
He was very proud of his daughter DeyLynne and although he was not a patient of Lewis County Hospice, please consider a donation in his memory to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
