She was predeceased by: her parents, James Philo and Joan McCleave (Wilson); her husband Lowell E. Potter; her son Warren Potter; and her sisters, Judy Layo and Joyce Emert.

She is survived by: her children, James Ernest (Amy Potter) of Cortland and Jenifer Lynne (Shannon Locklear) of Antioch, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Caroline Potter of West Potsdam; her grandchildren, Carrie Anne, Julian Potter, Michelle Windsor (Aaron), Danielle Beltz (Micah), Nicholas Potter (Katherine), Erik Locklear (Erin), Evan Locklear (Kim), Anna Locklear (Silas Westers) and Lauren Bowers; and her brother Greg McCleave (Linda) of Wisconsin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
