He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Pettit and Hazel Jordan Pettit; his children, Judy Feller and Arthur Pettit; and his brothers, Donald Pettit and Duncan Pettit.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Pettit (DeLisa) of Smithville, Kim Torrey (Pat) of Bolivar, Andrea Pettit of Bolivar, Barbara Burdick (Curtis) of Little Genesee, Mike Pettit (Patsy) of Little Genesee, Linda Innamorato (John) of Bolivar, Shawn Pettit (Rebecca) of Bolivar, Frank Pettit (April) of Little Genesee and Pamela Colerick (Donald) of Little Genesee. He is also survived by grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
