He is survived by: his parents, Charles Gleason and Lucille Gleason; his spouse SharonRae Constintine; his children, Ed Nelson Jr. (Peggy) of Richburg, Jeanie Prentice of Allentown, Amanda Nelson of Allentown and Tyke Unverdorben of Bolivar; his stepchildren, Laura Nesmith of Rochester, Brenda Taylor of Olean, Dennis Unverdorben of Shinglehouse and Ronnie Unverdorben of Port Allegany; and his half-brothers, Art Nelson and Fred Nelson. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
