She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Gerew and Fern Prevost Gerew; her daughter Sharon Merrell; and her grandsons, Kristopher R. Francisco, Michael Witter and Zachary Keller.
She is survived by: her husband Burdette Lewis "Bud" Merrell; her children, Burdette L. Merrell, Jr. (Ellen) of Perry, George W Merrell (Louise) of Cuba, Kimberly Ann DeGroff (Jim) of Bolivar, Tina Francisco (Rex) of Scio, Michael Merrell (Vonda) of Niagara Falls, Linda Harris (Dana) of Wellsville, Clarence Merrell (Marsha) of Lima, Pauleen Dudley (Rory) of Bolivar, Richard James Merrell of Lexington Park, MD and Sandra Brizzee (Brian) of Wellsville; her sisters, Eileen Stevens and Cheryl Curry; and her nephew Keith Merrell of Bergen.
