It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Travers of Blue Point, New York, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albany Police Captain Michael A. and Emeline Thauer; and her brother Charles J. Dooley (Jerome E. Travers). She is survived by: her children, Carolyn (Bill), Michael (late Judy), Jim (late Cherry), Kathy (Ken) and Ed; her grandchildren, Damian, Tara (Cory), Kerry (Chris), Sean (April), Christopher (Bailey), Michelle (Nick), Tim, Casey and Carly; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Charlotte, Kellen, Jessica, Ethan, Gavin, Sean, Jr., Nicholas, Mia, Brantley, Meghan, Lyla and Eliot.
In lieu of flowers, her favorite charities were Hope House Ministries of Port Jefferson at hhm.org and Long Island Cares/The Harry Chapin Food Bank at licares.org.
