Barbara May Doubleday Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara May Doubleday of Bloomville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara May shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara May farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren N. Doubleday and Sigrid Doubleday (Manty); and her sister Lois D. Howe. She is survived by: her sons, Philip R. of Maplewood, NJ and Mark O. Alban of Maplewood, NJ; and her sister Sandra D. DeCosta. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomville United Methodist Church (35 Church St, Bloomville, NY 13739).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
