He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burdick and Gladys Burdick (Hitt); and his siblings, Elsie, Mildred, Ford and Leonard.

He is survived by: his daughter Paula Schermerhorn (Tim); and his grandchildren, Matt (Sydney), Chelsea and Ben Casey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
