She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wacek and Erna Wacek (Köhnke). She is survived by: her husband Donald A. Volk; her son Michael Volk (Sue Mesches); her grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Jamie and James of York, PA; her sister Renate Smith (Wacek) of Florida; her brother-in-law Wayne; and her nephew John.
