He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnson and Jessie Johnson (Woodruff); his former wife Anita Sabol; his children, Wanda Flint and Andre Rushford; his siblings, William, Woodruff "Woody", Carl, Norman Johnson, Patricia Jacobs and Mildred Spinner; and his grandson Leland "Chip" Flint.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Kaye (Kevin O'Hara) of Altamont, NY, Barbara Johnson (Gus Dukett) of Tupper Lake, NY and Basil Johnson, Jr. of Saranac Lake, NY; his grandchildren, Paul Flint, Alida Johnson (Ryan McNeil), Laura Tyler (Kevin), Genevieve Guerrette, Dylan Guerrette and Jennifer Kaye (Taryn Lapierre); and his son-in-law Leland Flint of Saranac Lake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Basil's family understands that the extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic may make it difficult for some to attend.
