She is survived by: her parents, Ciara Melendez Vargas of Bloomingburg, NY and Owen DeGrote; her grandparents, Melissa DeGrote of Monticello, Rodney and Rebecca DeGrote of Cochecton; and her great-grandparents, Caroline Fisher and Rodney DeGrote Sr.. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
