She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Smith and Hazel Ruth Carroll Smith; her husband Charles A. Helms, Sr.; her stepson Charles A. Helms Jr.; and her sister Janice Smith.
She is survived by: her nieces, Darla Simmons, Jamie Ertter and Ronni Nation; her stepdaughter Denise Helms; and her close friend Paul. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
