He was predeceased by: his son Craig; and his siblings, Florence Mae, Frances, Nadine, Natalie and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Elfriede; his children, Robert, Aric and Phillip; his grandchildren, Kelley Atkins, Nickolas Thompson, Sara Thompson and Aaron Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Stella and Liam Atkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
