He is survived by: his wife Esther; his siblings, Sharon Petersen, Stephanie Garland and Roger Wheat (Donna); his children, Tim Wheat (Michelle), Jeremy Wheat, Richard Hallifax, Vickie Messner (Derek) and Regina Stafford; and his grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Justin, Abigail and Amelia. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
