He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edward, Carl, John, Leo, James, Marian Erdle, Genevieve Christiansen and Jean Langbein; his son-in-law Edward Volz; and his parents, John Erdle and Jennie Erdle (Meehan).
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Erdle (Pittenger); his children, Patricia Volz, Stephen Erdle (Ann Marie), Jennifer Rogers (Douglas) and Karen Northrup (Michael); his grandchildren, Ryan, Clifford (Katie), Courtney (John), Hanna, Patrick, Olivia, Levi (Kara), Benjamin and Taylor; his great grandchild Delilah; and his brothers, Robert Erdle and Morris Erdle (Jeanne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
