He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe C. Haxton and Irene Cone-Swartwood Haxton; his son Daniel Haxton; and his siblings, Ruth Cook, Jeanne Greene, Cora Watson, Walter, Charles, William R. and Victor Haxton.
He is survived by: his wife Oleava M. Degenfelder Haxton; his children, Dr. Wanda Haxton-Koch (Carl Jr.) of Adamstown, MD, Sarah Drew of Bliss, NY and Leslie Haxton (Heidi) of Ocala, FL; his grandchildren, Ashley Drew of Ypsilanti, MI, Meagan Byrd of Middletown, MD, Steele Drew of Bliss and Justin Koch of North Beach, MD; and his great grandchildren, Kellan, Jonah Koch, Sydney and Brooklyn Byrd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
