Sue Ann Phelps, 77, of Blasdell, NY, previously of Sigel, PA, passed away into the loving arms of her Heavenly Bridegroom, surrounded by her loving family, on August 13, 2024, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois. Sue was born on August 10, 1947, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Simpson) Johnson, in Brookville, PA. She graduated from Clarion – Limestone School District.

She attended Erie Business School and worked as Medical Secretary in Buffalo, NY. Sue married the love of her life, George Phelps on December 17, 1967, at the Kahletown Community Church; George survives her. Sue was very faithful and a bible scholar.

She was a member of the Christ Gospel International in West Seneca, NY and the Kahletown Community Church. Sue was very knowledgeable and had a vibrant personality. She was very humble and the type of person that could talk to anyone she met.

Sue was also very talented at the piano. In addition to her parents, Sue is survived by three children: Stephen (Erica) Phelps, Ethan (Lisa) Phelps, Andrea Phelps; one brother: Pastor John “JJ” (Debra) Johnson; one sister: Robin Barhorst; multiple grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Sue is preceded in passing by her parents.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 11am to 1pm at the Kahletown Community Church, 55 Kahletown Church Lane, Sigel, PA 15860. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, also at the church, beginning at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Kahletown Community Church.

Internment will take place at Kahletown Cemetery, Sigel, Jefferson Co., PA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Online condolences and other information may be found by visiting http://www.dargyfh.com
