“May I reflect on my memory of this wonderful man (Opa) => I met him back in 1972. It was in 1976-1977 when I lived in his home. He was a colorful man who had a sense of humor, generosity, and loved classical music. Herman had a huge impact on me because I knew that he truly believed in me by marveling at the many years that I spent in scientific education. He was often known to exclaim "Oh, come on now, Child!" Opa would listen to the times I shared John 3:16 with him! Love, Dr. Bill Tobin”
