Polly A. Bates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Polly A. Bates (Black River, New York), who passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Smith and Mary Smith; and her former husband Paul Parks. She is survived by: her siblings, Sally VanEpps, Mary Root (Guy) and William Smith (Donna); her children, Steven Parks (Joanie), Suzanne Parks, William Parks (Morag), Michael Parks (Kathy Files), Timothy Reome, Michelle Sweeney (Scotty) and Paula Toutant (Andre); and her stepchildren, Tracy Spooner (James), Kathy Teasdale (Doug) and Veronica Bates. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Urban Mission Meals on Wheels program, who, with the help of a group of dedicated volunteers, deliver prepared meals and much-needed social interaction to homebound seniors in Watertown.
