He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Sadie; and his siblings, Julia, John, Joseph and Wilma.

He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Christine Hurlbut (Thomas), Joyce Alapeck (Robert), Carol Hall (Michael), MaryBeth Keesler (Shane) and William Phillips; his grandchildren, Amy Friends, James Poyer, Megan Grace, Jamie Starace, Zachary and Zoe Keesler; his great grandchildren, Emily, Brody, McKenna, Nora, Maddox and Lennox; and his sister-in-law Joanne Chapuk.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (1049 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY 13901). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
