It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila G. Smith of Binghamton, New York, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sheila G. Smith to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Sheila farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. She was predeceased by: her parents, Solomon Gerig and Irene Gerig; and her husband Stark W. Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Fehrer (Jim), Stephanie "Tassie" Freije (Mark), Laurie Hubik (Daniel) and Kari Randall (Norm). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
