He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy E. Forbes; his parents, Frank Forbes and Iva Forbes (Rockwell); his siblings, Dorothy LeBaron, Gordon Forbes and Frank Forbes; and his grandson Jeremy D. Clark.
He is survived by: his children, David G. Forbes (Sandy), Kathryn M. Freize (Russell) and Peggy O'Dea (Ernie); his grandchildren, Bill Sestak (Dianne), Tim Sestak, Teresa Farell (Andy), Brandon Freize (Heather), Erin Freize, Ariana Suarez (Seward) and Elyse Wilbur (Robert); his brothers-in-law, William Decker and Gerald Decker; and his close friend Doris Homan. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
