He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William Buchanan and Angie Nettie Buchanan; his wife Ethel Buchanan; his son Mark; his siblings, Gordon "Gordie" Buchanan, Erma and Joan; his brother-in-law Roger Holcomb (Jo Ann); his parents-in-law, Harvey L. Holcomb and Pauline Whitaker (Fremont); and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Buchanan.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Buchanan and Kevin Buchanan (Melissa); his grandchildren, Jacquelin, Mitchell, Richard, Maurianna, Matthew and Mark; his great grandchild Jameson; his siblings, Fred Buchanan (Carol) and Shirley Krissel (Paul); his sisters-in-law, Nancy Wiggins (Mike) and Deanna Degolier (Jay); and his close friends, Craig, Quick (Kim), Stan Emmert and Shirley Houston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
