It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence W. Briggs Jr. of Binghamton, New York, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Briggs and Mary Briggs (Leech); his siblings-in-law, Mary Van Dusen (Harry), Judy Neally (Jim), Jerome Manley and Harry Tyler (Leslie); and his friends, Christopher Ciccone and Leon Oakley.
He is survived by: his former wife Millicent Terry (Tyler); his children, Barbara Briggs (Alonzo Barnes) and Grant (Michelle Jones); his grandchildren, Cameron Briggs (Cassandra), Harrison Mealick, Chelsey Coughlin (Keegan), Jacob Mealick (McKenzie), Paige DePersiis (Cordell) and Cortney Briggs; his great grandchildren, Eli, Lucas Briggs, Murphy Coughlin, Luke and Riley DePersiis; his siblings, Joyce Manley and Donald Briggs (Carolyn); his daughter-in-law Teri Briggs (Art Studer); his siblings-in-law, Lucille Christiansen, Wesley Tyler (Kay) and Arland Tyler (Lee Ann); and his friends, Marie, Paul Benedict, Elsie Ciccone and Stuart Denison. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other dear friends.
