He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Coons and Gertrude Coons; his daughter Heather Coons; his siblings, Arline Friends, Dorothy Klinko, Phyllis Brown, Miles Jr. Coons (Mike), Andrea Riker and Carol Miller; and also Justin Kehoe.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coons; his children, Tami Pignone (Craig McKeel), Kelly Bonitz (Barry), Amy Kehoe (Christopher) and Christopher Coons (Sunny Barja); his grandchildren, Lauren Chesko (Tyler), Erich Bonitz and Brandon Falkner; his great grandchildren, Jaylee Kehoe, Kaden Kehoe, Colton Chesko and Lily Chesko; his sister Catherine Gratton (Phil); and also Jason Kehoe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Joe's name to the Fairview United Methodist Church.
