He is survived by: his children, Alexander Kanu Jr. and Moravia Chapman; his grandchildren, Mariyani Dorsey and Yuliani Woodard; his siblings, David Kanu and Margaret Kadi; his brother-in-law Mahmoud Kadi; and his close friends, Ronald Williams, Anthony Bronner, Ken and Nixon. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
