He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mathew and Johanna Mathew (Fechner); his wife Donna (Schmalenberg); his daughter Kathleen; and his siblings, Francis Mathew (Beverly) and Rita McGinley.
He is survived by: his children, Joanne Parker (Raymond) of Lowman, John Mathew (Terri O'Brien) of Etters, PA, Robert Mathew Jr. (Moriah) of Granite Falls, WA and Mark Mathew (Wendy) of Big Flats; his grandchildren, Sara Truman, Holly Nowaczyk (AJ) and Michael Talmage (Alisha); his sons, Samuel, Elyssa, Carly Mathew, Christopher, Steven and Daniel Mathew; and his great grandchildren, Steven, Paul Truman, Addalynne Talmage and Braxtonn Talmage.
