With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy J. Compton of Big Flats, New York, born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on July 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Nancy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Nancy leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donald Compton and Jessie Compton (Cole); and her grandparents, Simeon, Nancy Cole (Robinson), George and Mertie Compton (Wescott).
In lieu of flowers, it was Nancy's wish that donations be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942 of CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, New York 14870.
