He was predeceased by: his sister Sherry Smith; his father-in-law Stephen Sharar; and his friend Donald Curtis. He is survived by: his parents, Wayne Smith and Linda Smith; his wife Gretchen Smith; his children, Kylie, Dylan Shope, Emily, Matthew Stumpf and Patrick Smith; his grandson Carson Shope; his mother-in-law Twila Sharar; his brother Jeffery; his sister-in-law Kayla Smith; his sister Stephanie; his siblings-in-law, Stephen Dimitroff, Tom and Sharon Sharar; his nieces, Isabella Dimitroff, Alivia Smith and Heidi Smith; and his friends, Richard "Dick" and Judy Catherman. He is also survived by several extended family members and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Higher Hope Church (356 Maple St, Big Flats, NY 14814). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
