He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mitchell and Lillian Tomei (Watts). He is survived by: his daughter Brittany Mitchell (John); his grandson Joshua Mitchell; his siblings, Daniel Mitchell (Janet) and Patricia Mitchell; and his nephew Nathan Heavlin. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
