He was predeceased by: his daughter Claudette. He is survived by: his wife Shannon; his children, Tessa, Natalie, Maria, Brian and Stephen; his grandchildren, James, Madison and Luciana; his parents, John and Rachel; and his brothers, John and Ed.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 29th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (20 Hicksville Rd, Bethpage, NY 11714). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 31st 2024 at 9:45 AM at the St. Brigid's R. C. Church (75 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590).
