He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gilrain and Marie Gilrain; his stepmother Margaret Gilrain; and his stepbrother Thomas Severin (Patricia). He is survived by: his close friend Lenora Chaimowitz; his children, Kelly Gilrain, Colleen Gilrain Bladel (John) and Timothy Gilrain; his grandchildren, Pearle, Jaxson and Lyncoln; his siblings, Barbara Swain (Scott), Dennis Gilrain (Arlene) and Maureen Natalie (Michael); and his stepbrothers, Daniel Severin (Patricia), James Severin and William Severin (Elizabeth).
