With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine J. Combs of Bethpage, New York, born in Freeport, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Mulvey (Joe), Jackie Vino (Frank), Jeff Combs (Marie), Cathy Hasenberg and Jayne Cakir (Cary Tarshis); her siblings, Gloria Wild (Hammy), Corky Andrews, Dotty Genovese (Bob), Delores Kerrick (Tom) and Arthur Andrews (Janet); her caregiver Aide; her grandchildren, Krista Peterson (Dennis), Tracey Hennessy (Scott), Samantha (Klicpera), Jason (Combs) and Robert Jagels (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Edward, Elizabeth and Evelyn Peterson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (20 Hicksville Rd, Bethpage, NY 11714). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Even during Covid, she talked to them from a distance.
