He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Todd Clanton and William Clanton; and his daughter Deborah. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel and Micheal; his grandchildren, Victoria, Alexander and Daniel; his great grandchild Anthony; his daughter-in-law Julia; and his cousins, Bobby Todd, Billy Todd, Lenny Alexander and Carol Ann Greiger.
